day 3-4

Well day 4 is almost over and doing really well. Even though I still have my head cold, I feel better. No heart burn, and just feeling lighter. I weighed myself yesterday, down 4 pounds!!!! I will weigh myself tomorrow morning. I have not exercised at all because I have been feeling so miserable. I have basically been in bed and called in sick today. So to see the scale move, and I haven't started to exercise yet, makes me motivated. You always lose more when you exercise.

I have been eating a lot of veggies, lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli mostly. Eating salads, turkey sausage and last night went to eat at New French and had raw tuna salad. It was so good. The quote below is a problem I struggle with. I like results and I like them fast. 1 pound a week is not exciting. But if you hold something that weighs 1 pound, you realize it's something, better than nothing.

The scale as been going up for months. I last worked out hard more than 6 months ago. Winter has not been good. It literally was the worst winter in Minnesota, EVER~~~ . And now it is March and it's still cold. I also attribute my weight gain to some news I got in August. When I am upset I eat. I am changing that. I believe I can.

day 1 and 2- me!

I weighed myself Saturday morning, March 22, 2014, and am too embarrassed to even put in here. I know how much it is, it is haunting!!! But I am doing something ....again. This time I want to keep motivated and keep going, on my own, nobody except me. I had a trainer, I have friends, I even have my husband who is willing to walk with me....but I know it is all me, it's up to me. I am the one who puts food in my mouth. I am the one who decides to exercise. ME, just me !

So it helped that I am sick. Head cold in March...yeah!! But I am not hungry, good time to start. I thought about how I was going to do it. How I could lose 40 pounds without starving. LOW CARB, the old Atkins, Palm Beach Diet. It works, and you are never hungry. You just have to give up sugar.

So I went to Trader Joes and loaded up on veggies, meats, eggs and cheeses. I even was out Saturday night, my first night, at the mall, and my husband and daughter wanted to go to Johnny Rockets. They had a club salad with grilled chicken. It was so good, and a little extra blue cheese dressing was perfect.

Today I had hard boiled eggs, sesame seeds and turkey sausage and salad for dinner. Like I said it's been pretty easy since I am not feeling well. For the first 2 weeks I will have no extras. Sticking to the basics. After 2 weeks I will add in other things like beans, sugar free jello and cool whip (which by the way is a god send). Also gaining back an old friend then losing them within a few weeks also makes it easier to lose)

So I have not weighed myself again, I will tomorrow. I am hoping to exercise a little tomorrow as well, depending on how I feel. EXERCISE is key! It really is. I am going to look into joining the online DAILY BURN. I like the idea of doing something different everyday between 30 and 60 minutes.
